Inequalities

So today i was out with my best friends at the AMC theatre and what caught my attention was walking out of the theatre the escalator was out of service. This is one of many things in life that just absolutely bewilder me and totally throw my sense of direction out the window, i always get so confused when escalators aren't working because i'm so used to just standing onn them and magical appear at the desired destination but again, i was caught flatfooted (pun intended; for those who do not know i have flat foot :D) i didn't know whether to step down or to just wait - after a few seconds i regained mentality and made my way awkwardly down the escalator.
I suppose this is due to the fact that humans are beings of habit because it just now while making a bacon sandwich, lol jk; i was like hmm there are actually alot of things that i'm so used to just happening its really wierd when they aren't functioning the way im used to.
