If you can't tell from the picture, he's pretty much a kind of teddy bear... except better. He's a worm, and he GLOWS. Well, whether or not you do, glo worm has been my best friend since birth. I went pretty much everywhere with him. I had this black string tied around him that i pretty much used as a leash, and i would drag him everywhere. He was built for me. With a soft, comfortable body, and a hard plastic head, he was ideal for hugging, yet deadly in a violent confrontation. Since he could light up, in any instance of fear from the dark, comfort in his glowing face was simply one squeeze away.
There is one weekend of my life that i will always remember. I must have been four years old, and i was sleeping over at my grandma's house. Since i had never slept there before, I decided to bring along my trusty companion and best friend, glo worm. In the night, i was extremely scared, having been away from my comfortable and familiar bed. I'm pretty i kept him lit up all night long. Eventually i made it through the night.
The next morning, my grandma made an awesome breakfast, and had a whole bunch of ice cream ready for bresert (breakfast desert, you can only imagine how awesome that is.). Anyways, i got distracted, and left glo worm in the bedroom. When we left, i left glo worm at my grandmas house.
I tried to sleep that night without my glo worm, but it didn't work, i just cried and cried all night long and didn't go to sleep. My parents had to drive to my grandma's in the middle of the night to get glo worm for me so that i would go to sleep. As soon as i had glo worm in my arms, i slept like a baby. literally.
Anyways, my sister randomly brought up glo worm this week and that's why i started thinking about him. Apparently my mom didn't throw him out like i thought she did, he's waiting for me somewhere at home! :D

ReplyDeletestarting with my first stuffed animal if you remember their called TY pets, i have the dog named tracker :) i had him since i was like 5 and he still chills in my room when i sleep. When i was about 7 i found a mini TY of the same one and hes in the room too! :D ahah he's definately my favourite and recently i bought a 1UP mushroom from Mario and i like kicking it around but its definately not as comfortable to hug and sleep with as my dog. It kinda makes up for the puppy i've always wanted :(
